Summer Fun sessions

Let's have some fun this summer! In June and July, I invite you to take advantage of my Summer Fun sessions. I want to capture your kids having a great time doing what they love to do! For a Summer Fun session, you choose the activity (playing at the pool, going fishing, climbing trees, hanging out at the park, or just playing in the backyard sprinkler), and I'll be there to catch the action. The possibilities are endless!

Summer Fun sessions are $10 off my regular session fees, and must involve an activity of your choice. Book before June 15th, and I'll throw in a free sheet of wallets with a $100 print purchase.

Rain dates for Teacher Appreciation Day

Except for one late afternoon session, we were rained out for the Teacher Appreciation Day.

I have rescheduled for the following days and times:
Monday, April 7th - 4:00 to 6:20
Tuesday, April 8th - 4:00 to 6:20
Saturday, April 12th - 9:00 to 1:00

***Nearly everyone that was previously booked has already claimed their new slot, and I still have a few openings. So even if you weren't booked for this past Thursday, any teachers are welcome to participate!***

Teacher Appreciation Day!

Thursday, April 3rd is Teacher Appreciation Day at Alicia McDonald Photography!


While teachers and kids are on spring break, I want to make a special offer to teachers and school employees to say thanks for all your hard work.

I am offering a FREE spring mini-session to any school system employee on Thursday, April 3rd. These sessions are 20 minutes each and you will get 8 to 10 online proofs. Flowers are blooming and beautiful, so break out those Easter outfits one more time for some spring portraits!

A $25 minimum print purchase is required, to be paid up front in order to reserve your time slot. In the event of rain or bad weather, you will be given a rain check for a free mini-session on a chosen rain date, or $25 off a regular session. Money will be refunded ONLY if your session is canceled by the photographer, at the photographer's discretion.

New Vintage Textures Available!

I'm excited to now offer vintage textures for wall prints. A beautiful textured look is applied to the photograph to give it a weathered appearance. It's especially nice for outdoor photos. See above and below for examples, and be sure to click on each photo to see a larger view. (You'll especially notice the texture around the edges and in the background.)



The vintage textures are free for a limited time, and are available only with the purchase of a mounted wall print. Feel free to come by and see a sample for yourself!

New site is live!

It's a new year, and I'm debuting my brand new site for 2008! If you haven't seen it already, be sure to check it out. (It's still at the same address, www.aliciamcdonald.com.) You can view lots of new pictures from recent sessions, and find info on 2008 pricing as well.

January Sale

If you had a session with me between October 1st, 2007 and December 20th, 2007, you are eligible for the January special. All galleries from this time period have been reopened for a five-day, 20% off sale.

Some Holiday Favorites

Merry Christmas, everyone! Here are some favorites from my holiday sessions. More to come soon!

Please note: I will be taking off December 20th - 26th for the Christmas holiday. Any orders placed during this time will be processed on the 27th.

Deadline Extension

OK, for all you last minute shoppers, I'm extended the card deadline to Wednesday, December 12th. You must choose express shipping if you want your cards by the 20th.

No Christmas card orders will be taken after 5:30 on December 12th.

Last reminder for Christmas card orders

Just a reminder: the deadline for all Christmas card orders is Friday, December 7th. I would recommend choosing express shipping for all orders placed this week.

Holiday Schedule and Deadlines

I will be closed for Thanksgiving next Wednesday through Sunday (November 21-25.) If you want your order to be processed before Thanksgiving, I must have it by Tuesday, November 20th at 5:30.

Also, if you would like to see card samples before Thanksgiving, I need your card choices by Monday, November 19th so I can have them to you on Tuesday.

New card choices have been added (and some have been retired for the year), so take a peek at the gallery again if you haven't seen it lately!

Deadlines for card orders

Even though the holiday season has barely begun, now is the time to book your appointment! December 4th is the latest session date you can book to guarantee that your Christmas cards will be in hand by December 18th. Weekends are nearly booked already, so make your call today!
